Mr. McDowell has represented clients from the largest corporations to individuals through their most arduous litigation and negotiations. Mr. McDowell continues to build on his experiences at Stanford University, The University of Virginia School of Law, courtrooms, and in board rooms and the governing committees of large, international law firms. Antitrust
Mr. McDowell began his career defending the most serious antitrust cases, including three MDL cases. He now counsels clients as to their horizon antitrust issues.
Complex Commercial Litigation
Mr. McDowell has tried a broad range of complex cases and facilitated settlement short of trial in many. Those cases have involved a range of substantive issues. The latest case Mr. McDowell tried to verdict is a jury trial in June of 2025.
Executive Employment Contract Negotiations
For years, Mr. McDowell has represented individuals in C-Suite employment contract negotiations, re-negotiations, and departures.

Mr. McDowell has represented plaintiffs and defendants in all aspects of intellectual property litigation and negotiations. He has represented parties in patent litigation across the United States for more than 20 years.

Since the beginning of his career, Mr. McDowell has opined and testified as to attorney fee applications and reasonable attorney fees in deposition and court rooms.
